Welcome to the site of Blazing Furies kennel, Obedience School and Security Centre.

About a year ago we moved to the beautiful Carabean island of the Dominican Republic, from Belgium, to continue our succesful breeding-program and our training of security-dogs, in a more enjoyable climate and a more relaxed atmosphere.

At this moment we breed Malinois (Belgian Shepherds) from some of the oldest and best lines in Europe (for more info click here), and either sell them as puppies, or train them as security-dogs. The Malinois is a social, hard-working dog, reknown for its speed, tenaciousness, agility and extreme hard bite. Nevertheless they are great family-dogs as well, and love children. Amongst our customers we count police-forces in the United States and the armies of several countries.

As second and third breed for sports we have the Australian Shepherd and the Border Collie, and here we also specialise in the working lines. These dogs make excellent guard-dogs, are great sporting- and herding dogs (cattle and horses), and are fantastic companions.

On top of this we train people and dogs together, in order to become professional security-teams, which are widely used by companies to protect gated communities, shopping malls, etc...

As a hobby we also train ourselves and a number of our dogs in Canine Flying Disc Sports, otherwise known as Dogfrisbee. We are proud to say we were the first Europeans ever to qualify for the Skyhoundz World Championships, and continued to be World Finalists for the next 4 years. In 2009 we helped to judge the World Championships Distance in Chattanooga, Tenessee. In 2007, Hilde and Acira were invited as only Europeans to participate in the World Cup Challenge in Korea.
